Lonely London Lad

How amazing is it when one can email back and forth for months with their favorite musical artist? Well this became a reality for me recently. I first received an email on my myspace account from a band called Lonely London Lad. I thought it looked intersting so i accepted his friendship and added his band to my account. I followed his posts about his forthcoming album which was to be released in 2009. This lasted several months until the album was released. Prior to the album being released i was able to listen to samples of the music and i certain enjoyed what i was hearing. In fact i steadily became hooked on this music and not a day went by in which i didn't at least play a couple of the tracks. This music was very special. It fit into the category that i enjoyed which was primarily indie. Eventually the album was finally released and i immediately ordered a copy. A few days later it arrived in the mail, postage paid in a nicely packaged box. The CD had a very nice thank you card inside which was signed by a man named Robert. Well i thought, "This is special." How many artists send their CD to you with a thank you card autographed with the words "thank you."
The CD included two discs and over 20 songs. Alot of music indeed. A beautiful booklet with all of the lyrics. I immmediately popped this CD in to the player and began my journey into the music and adventures of Lonely London Lad. What has transpired over the last several months since that day has been nothing more that complete inspiration. The reason for this inspiration i will explain in my next blog. This artist and his music is quite simply the most complex and unique thing to come my way in many many years.
